Description:  I had chased this stone train south through Siloam Springs, always a chancy effort, and caught up to him just as he was clearing the south end of the siding at Watts. I pulled into a side road, rolled down the window and fired. A little off level, but otherwise came out OK/ Hustle pays!!

Description:  We caught a southbound coal train near Stilwell the other day. I shot it at the north end of town, and ran to get it here at the station. He was determined to get to Heavener, as I had just enough time to get out of the car to catch the head end past the station.

Description:  The southbound WRFX-the mark is assigned to Wells Fargo-train rolls past the Adair County barn as it makes its way up the short grade into Stilwell. Ill have to run to get ahead of him before he reaches the station at the other end of town.

DPUs too
Title:  DPUs too
Description:  After I shot the head end at the station, I went up to the US 59 overpass just to the south. The shot is not as open as I remember it, but now that Ive lived here 15 years, Im finding that there are a lot of places that were good shots, that are now overgrown, especially in late summer. I still managed a shot of the DPU going away, an unusual mix of power.

Description:  Wed gone down to Tahlequah to see some family, and had returned via Stilwell and US 59, rolling up on through Westville. North of Westville we caught up to a northbound H train, which I shot going into Watts as the sun was getting low. The first photo was here at Chewie Rd south of Watts, three units, including a gray KCSM GE have 54 cars in tow.

Description:  When we passed signal 238-2, south of Watts, it was showing approach, meaning the H train would take the siding at Watts. I initially thought theyd be working there(they would). As we came around the curve into Watts, we got a surprise, this southbound grain train waiting on the main for the H train to clear. The crew is out, rolling the H train by as he goes into the siding.
