Beautiful photo of a 1923 Lima built Mikado with a full head of steam. Eventually scrapped on July 11, 1945. Actual date and location of the photo are unknown. An interesting sidenote came up from Marcus W (see comment below) about this loco derailing in Edwardsville, IL, on 2/21/1942. May have been repaired or just stored before being scrapped 3 years later. |
