Description:  The second Amtrak Veterans unit stands at the entrance to Steamtown on the first morning of Railfest. Cab tours were offered of the brand new electric locomotive throughout the weekend, proving to be quite popular with visitors. Power for the unit was supplied by AMTK 406, coupled behind.

Description:  Former Rahway Valley Railroad 15 undergoing cosmetic restoration within Steamtown's shop. Built by Baldwin in 1916 for the Oneida & Western of Tennessee as their number 20. Sold to New Jersey's Rahway Valley in 1937 and operated until being replaced by diesels in the 1950s. Acquired by F. Nelson Blount in 1959 as part of the collection that would become Steamtown.

Description:  One of fifty coaches constructed by Pullman in 1925 for the DL&W's commuter service. Rebuilt into an MU trailer in 1930 and renumbered from 346 to 2246 to operate on the electrified Morris & Essex Lines out of Hoboken Terminal.

Title:  LBR 1923
Description:  One of Steamtown's four Consolidations, this locomotive was built by Alco's Cooke Works in 1920 for an operation in Cuba. Various complications prevented delivery and the engine was regauged and sold to upstate New York shortline Lowville & Beaver River Railroad. Acquired by F. Nelson Blount for the Steamtown collection in 1963.

Title:  EL 457
Description:  Originally constructed in 1925 by the Pressed Steel Car Company for the Delaware Lackawanna & Western Railroad as a postal storage car, numbered 2054. Used on passenger trains for the purpose of carrying packages, it was renumbered to 457 when the DL&W became part of the Erie Lackawanna. Moved from passenger service to maintenance duty in 1969, the car was also used by Conrail in this capacity before becoming part of the Steamtown collection in 1987. Today it awaits restoration within the yard while being used for storage.

Description:  After many years of static display next to the Steamtown turntable, former DL&W SC 426 has been brought back to life by the shop forces of current owner Delaware Lackwanna Railroad. Still retaining its original prime mover, this unit is now the oldest operating diesel locomotive in the United States. Constructed in 1935 by EMC.
