Album Info:Purcell, Cheyenne, and Perry, Oklahoma, are nowhere near each other, nor do they have anything in common except that they were all served by the Santa Fe. While Purcell used to be a major point on the line, Cheyenne had to build its own tracks just to get a railroad to come through! I didn't have many pictures from any of these towns, so I decided to merge the collection into this album. Enjoy!

Description:  Some towns get steam engines. Purcell got a caboose. Personally, I'd take either, if anyone's offering...

Title:  ATSF 999608
Description:  Purcell put this caboose right in the middle of N. 2nd Avenue, turning the stretch between W. Main Street and Main Street Alley into a park. With all the traffic (or lack thereof) in town, this didn't cause any problems.

Interior of the Cheyenne Santa Fe Depot
Title:  Interior of the Cheyenne Santa Fe Depot
Description:  When the Santa Fe abandoned Cheyenne in 1981, a Woodward resident moved it to Woodward to have it turned into a rental property. He passed away before he had a chance, and his wife returned the station to Cheyenne when the Pioneer Museum was established. Now, visitors can tour it.
