This chunky 2-8-0 camelback was built by Burnham, Wms & Co (Baldwin predecessor) in August of 1896 and sits in the Staten Island, NY, neighborhood of Clifton when this photo was taken. The entire class of 2-8-0C "Mother Hubbard" style was converted to Wootten's extremely wide and low firebox and reclassified as E-13B. #1635 shows the Wootten firebox.
