Description:  There were plenty of other excursions for the Convention, of course, including this one on the Finger Lakes Railway from Syracuse to Auburn, NY, pictured here. Power was provided by the Finger Lakes Railway, NYS&W, and the Central New York Chapter, who provided this EMD E8. #807 is one of two that they have, the other one being #808, which was restored earlier.

Description:  I went nuts when I saw these units in Selkirk. I had heard that in Early October, SLRG, the Saratoga and North Creek Railroad had purchased these 2 FINE units from the NYRHA in Syracuse. They are being delivered to Saratoga Springs and being put into service ASAP! I hope they dont change the paint. It will be very nice to see these 2 units back in revenue service again. I understand they both work. As a footnote, SLRG also purchased 2 former NYSW F-9s from Larrys truck and Electric as well as a former Burlington Northern F-9 that was also there. They are all being brought over to Saratoga for rebuilds. This will one day be some operation!!!
