Originally built as CM&StP 2-8-2 #8603 by Alco-Brooks in September of 1918, this Mikado was later renumbered MILW 318 in 1938. After nearly 33 years of service, the loco was retired in August of 1953. Specs - L3 class, 63" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 27x32" cylinders, engine wt of 320,000 lb and tractive effort of 62,949 lb. This is a Brunner photo. |
