| SP GP9 3882 leads the Monterey local into town in December 1985; 3804 trails. At one time the SP branch ran down through the Cannery Row part of the city, famed from the novel by John Steinbeck. By the time of this shot the line had been shortened to a couple of industries on the east side. |
