The acquisition of a part of the former north-south Rock Island between Texas and Kansas by the MKT in 1980-81 led to the creation of the OKKT. The Katy leased a number of locomotives from Conrail to help move traffic on the 'new' line; here three CR GP38/38-2s ald an MKT GP40 move a freight north at Kremlin OK. |
