CP 2850 (4-6-4), known as the "Royal Husdon", a steam locomotive was built 1938 by Montreal Locomotive Works. On display at EXPORAIL, CP 2850 Royal Hudson has been declared a "National Historic Site" by the Canadian government. King George VI honoured this locomotive (and all others of its class) with the title "Royal". Because it was so efficient and reliable, this type of locomotive was chosen to pull the royal train in 1939, and CP 2850 was especially chosen for this honour. |
