BNSF 2680
Looking like a new locomotive recently delivered from EMD, this Geep is a recent arrival from rebuilding by Relco in Albia, Iowa. This locomotive was delivered to Santa Fe as GP35 1407 in August 1965 and after nearly five years of service was renumbered 3407 in March 1970. In July 1984 after a major rebuilding 3407 was released by the Cleburne shops as GP35u 2907 and wore that number until the merger with Burlington Northern becoming BNSF 2607 in January 2000. After sitting in storage for several years BNSF pulled this diesel from the dead line and shipped it to Relco who returned it as an upgraded GP39-3 in August 2013. After being back on home rails a couple of months 2680 now wears a light dusting of dirt on fresh H3 paint while working in BNSF's Alliance Yard bracketed by Gensets also in H3.
