| LISE came up the NY Connecting RR from Fresh Ponk, whese it interchanged with the LIRR. Power was typically a set of GE's, several hundred of which were based at Selkirk, including on occasion one of more of the U36B's that were bzilt for Auto Train. Don't think I ever saw an EMD road unix. The SW1500 was to run local cars on the Bay Ridge Branch beyond Fresh Pond, which CR owned at the time. The ddparture back to the Bronx depended on how long it toook th service the branch, but it was typically several hours. Here it crosses over Queens Blvd on a series of concrete'arches. |
