CSX closed Water Street in downtown Connellsville for the afternoon on this day, so that new ties could be safely staged for a replacement project on Track 1 Main. In the foreground is the machine that installs the new ties under the rails. Behind it are a pair of excavators modified with a magnet attachment to pick up all the scrap metal.
