Wood. Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide (converted to B&W) of a photo by Don Wood that was taken in Cliffwood, New Jersey, in September of 1956. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #3747, a K-4S (4-6-2) "Pacific" built in Juniata during March of 1920 and retired in November of 1957 after 37 years of faithful service. Mr. Woods' Caption: "It's the 3747 again . . . this time bearing down on the Cliffwood Avenue crossing with Sunday afternoon train 787. Children in the station shelter cover their ears against the big Pacific's onslaught." Produced and distributed by Audio-Visual Designs; 47824C. (SPM) |
