Here is page one of an eight-page article by Russ Davis entitled "Riding The Pennsy's T-1." It was published originally in "The Mutual Magazine" and republished later in the July 1943 issue of "Trains" magazine, page 32. Shown here is PRR engine #6111, a T-1 (4-4-4-4) "Duplex" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works during May of 1942 and retired in December of 1953 after just 11 years of revenue service. It's crossing the Rockville Bridge with a passenger train bound for Altoona and points West. |
