New Orleans Public Belt Railroad 0-6-0 number 19 was next to the big Louisville & Nashville warehouse which was on the south side (railroad east) of that railroad’s JULIA STREET YARD. Notice the men on top of the first two box cars. They were probably up there passing signals to the engineer. The Mississippi River was just off to the right of the photo. The 19 had been built by Baldwin in September 1915 and was authorized for retirement on 5 April 1950. |
