Here is a duplicate 35mm color slide of a photo by Fred Kern that was taken near Mill Creek, Pennsylvania, on 23 July 1955. Shown here (R to L) are Pennsylvania Railroad engines #5862 and another E-7 whose number is not recorded. Both are EP-20's built by GM-EMD and rated at 2,000 horsepower each. #5862 was built in February of 1948 and retired in September of 1967 after just 19 years of revenue service.
