Here is the third of four photos by an unidentified photographer that were taken in Atlantic City, New Jersey, in September of 1954. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1678, a B-6SB (0-6-0) switcher built in Juniata during March of 1916 and retired in October of 1956 after 40 years of faithful service. Neither of the young men in the photo are identified by name. Raymond C. Laws Collection. |
