Louisville & Nashville train No. 8 – the northbound PAN-AMERICAN – was pulling out of New Orleans Union Passenger Terminal behind E8A units 795 and 785. With the beginning of Amtrak on 1 May, the train was discontinued, so it left for the very last time exactly three weeks after this photo was taken. |
