Portraits 7. Here is a steam locomotive portrait of Pennsylvania Railroad engine #1486, an H-3 (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works as a Class "R" Vauclain compound during 1891, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-3B before July of 1910, and retired in March of 1916 after 25 years of faithful service. Note the link-and-pin coupler, the fancy cab, and the firewood in the tender. The photographer's name is not recorded. (#4 of 20)
