Here is a steam locomotive portrait via D.W. Eldridge that was taken in Peoria, Illinois, on 11 June 1947. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9437, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as an H-8C during February of 1913, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-10S in December of 1917, and retired in December of 1956 after 43 years of faithful service.
