Here is a steam locomotive portrait via D.W. Eldridge that was taken in Peoria, Illinois, on 10 July 1947. Shown here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #9441, an H-10S (2-8-0) "Consolidated" built by the American Locomotive Company as an H-8C during March of 1913, rebuilt in Juniata as an H-10S in November of 1918, and retired in October of 1949 after 36 years of faithful service.
