Built by Alco-Brooks in January of 1908 as Las Vegas & Tonapah #31 (serial #44751), it was renumbered in 1916 to Los Angeles & Salt lake #3620. Finally in 1921, it received the UP number 6085 as seen in this photo. The loco was "vacated" by UP (retired & scrapped) in April of 1948. Specs - class C-2, 57" drivers, 200 psi boiler pressure, 22x30" cylinders, engine weight of 220,500 lb, tracitve effort of 43,305 lb. Unknown photographer. |
