Here is a photo by Mayer Pearlman that was taken in Trenton, New Jersey, on 3 September 1953. Prominent here is Pennsylvania Railroad engine #645, an E-6S (4-2-2) "Atlantic" built in Juniata during July of 1914 and retired in October of 1955. Partially visible at the right is PRR engine #8499, an AS-10M switcher built by the American Locomotive Company in June of 1952 and rated at 1,000 horsepower. Gary Mittner Collection. |
