This locomotive was built in March 1974 for Public Service Co. of Indiana as GP38-2 WG1 which became Amax Coal WG1 and was then sold to Rail Car Limited as GP38-2 1. This diesel was sold to Kiamichi and became 3846 but still wears only a patch for the new owner. Seen here on TNER/DGNO rails at the Sherman outdoor shop out of order and partially disassembled with an intake grill on the walkway. With all the GWI ordered RP20BDs coming online to DGNO from RailPower will this diesel return to service or become a Genset? |
