PRR 5599, BS-7, 1962 |
Description: |
Everyday. Here is an original photo that I took of a Pennsylvania Railroad train in Hollidaysburg, Pennsylvania, on 18 August 1962. Shown here is PRR engine #5599, a BS-7 built by the Baldwin Locomotive Works in June of 1950, rated at 750 horsepower, and retired in September of 1965 after just 15 years of revenue service. It is pulling the outbound Roaring Springs Local past the Samuel Rea Shop, parallel to West Loop Road. |
