Album Info:During the week of June 18th-22nd, Canadian National rail crews and local Griffith road crews combined to lay a majority of the eastbound Canadian National to the northbound Elgin Joliet & Eastern Rwy while the town's road crews resurfaced Broad Street over the tracks. It would be another 4 months before the track would be completed tying the two together. Work is still continuing on the re-signaling of the entire crossing.

Description:  Before the CN track crew continued laying the new turnout from the eastbound Canadian National to the northbound Elgin Joliet and Eastern Rwy, a crew member uses a Caterpillar grader to prepare the way. With Broad Street torn up, the bicyclist in the background is forced to carry his bike across the tracks to continue on the Erie Lackawanna bike trail.
