Description:  Date approximate. Virginian #4 0-8-0, Seaboard SW9 #2289, and Norfolk & Western #300 RS-3 at the Virginia Museum of Transportation. As of this posting, the Seaboard No. 2289 is no longer in the museum collection and seems to have gone to the Southern Appalachian Railroad Museum in Oak Ridge, TN at some point.

Description:  Another outside state display at the Virginia Transportation Museum when the unidentified photographer visited there was this 0-8-0 switcher built by Baldwin in August of 1910. Specs - serial #35034, class SA, 51" drivers, 22x28" cylinders, 200 psi boiler pressure, engine weight of 182,300 lb, tractive effort of 45,200 lb.

Description:  In 1957, it was retired and donated to the city of Princeton, West Virginia. Unfortunately, vandals got to it in front of the courthouse, where it was displayed. Thankfully, the Norfolk & Western traded a caboose for it 3 years later and fixed up the engine at their shops before donating it to the museum, where it is still preserved today!
