Description:  A "double-south" coal train crosses the former Virginian Railway at JK Tower on its way out of town on the Winston line. Today the track the train is on, the connection track at left, and the N&W signals are all gone. Also worth mentioning, this image was taken prior to the Dash-9 takeover of NS's roster. In 1996 I was happy to be shooting my first ever NS wide-cabs!
